Privacy Policy & Terms

Last updated: 16 October 2026

This policy explains how Kernel Panic Media ("we", "us") handles data on this website and in Kernel Panic Media Studio, the private app we use to publish our films on our own YouTube channel.

1. This website

This website does not use cookies, analytics, advertising or tracking of any kind, and it does not ask you for any personal data. Our hosting provider may keep standard technical server logs (such as IP address and time of request) for security and operations, under its own privacy policy.

2. Kernel Panic Media Studio and YouTube API Services

Kernel Panic Media Studio uses the YouTube API Services. By using a service that relies on them, you also agree to the YouTube Terms of Service, and your data is handled according to the Google Privacy Policy.

What it is

Kernel Panic Media Studio is our own publishing app. It uploads films we have finished and approved to our YouTube channel, checks that they were stored correctly, and reads our channel statistics so we can understand which stories viewers enjoy.

Who uses it

The app has a single user: the owner of our YouTube channel, who authorizes it on his own Google account. It is not distributed, has no public sign-in and never asks anyone else to grant access.

What data it accesses

The app does not access private data of other YouTube users, does not post or moderate comments, and does not delete videos.

Where data is stored and for how long

Data is stored only on the channel owner's own computer. Access credentials are kept in the operating system's secure keychain. Statistics of our own channel are kept as long as they are useful to evaluate our films. Public data collected for topic research is deleted after 30 days.

Sharing

We do not sell, rent or share data obtained through YouTube API Services with anyone, and we do not use it for advertising.

Revoking access and deleting data

The authorizing account can revoke the app's access at any time from Google Account › Third-party access. To ask for deletion of any stored data, write to kernelpanicmedia@gmail.com; we delete it within 30 days.

3. Contacting us

If you write to us by email, we use your address and message only to reply, and we delete the conversation when it is no longer needed. You can ask us at any time to access, correct or delete data about you.

4. Terms of use

The films and texts published by Kernel Panic Media are our original works and are protected by copyright; you may share links to them freely. Our films are made with the help of AI and are labeled as such. They retell myths, legends and historical events for entertainment and education, and they are based on cited sources, but they may simplify or interpret them. This website is provided "as is", without warranties.

5. Changes

If we change this policy, we will update this page and its date.
